Orange Quantum Systems: Manager Product Development
Leading the product development team at Orange Quantum Systems to build automated test and characterization solutions for quantum processors and chips.
A collection of what I have built, ventures I've co-founded, and hard lessons learned along the way.
I have done and tried many things. From building websites, to creating highly-accurate measurement systems. Below you can find a summarized version of my CV along with links to projects I like highlighting.
Business Developer
VSParticle | Jan 2026 - Present
After finding initial traction from some customers in the semicon space, I have been tasked with further exploring this opportunity. Challenges include developing a network of people who may need our solution, understanding the challenges and defining a value proposition. The ultimate goal is to drive revenue growth preceeding a product development cycle.
Product Manager
VSParticle | Jan 2025 - Dec 2025
Joined as the first Product Manager of the company with different focuses: bridging the gap between the product development team and the sales team, identifying opportunities for the nano printers and generators (P1 and G1) and create the development roadmaps for those products.
Startup Consultant & Advisor Scipreneurs | Sep 2023 - Present
I have engaged with many spinouts along the years. In some cases this was formalized as consultancy work, sometimes it was done on a voluntary basis. Help included:
Co-Founder Dispertech | Jan 2019 - Jun 2023
I co-founded Dispertech after securing funding from public (NWO, Dutch Research Organization) and private (Nascent Ventures) sources. We focused on creating solutions for nanoparticle characterization including size, refractive index, and concentration.
Python Workshop Organizer and Software Developer
Python for the Lab | Jan 2017 - Dec 2024
Python for the Lab is a long standing project of mine. I focus on spreading best practices when it comes to Python development for scientific instrumentation. There is very little information around and I like showing how things can be done with as minimal overhead as possible.
Leading the product development team at Orange Quantum Systems to build automated test and characterization solutions for quantum processors and chips.
Bridging engineering and commercial strategy for advanced nanoparticle generation and nanoprinting technologies (P1 & G1), expanding into the semiconductor sector.
Spinning out a hardware company from the university. Single-particle detection for biomarker identification
Empowering scientists and laboratory engineers to automate experimental setups, build modular measurement software, and master Python for scientific instrumentation.
Technical consulting and systems development at the intersection of biotechnology, advanced optical instrumentation, and precision measurement.
Experimental physics PhD at Leiden University focused on building novel optical setups and instrumentation to investigate single molecules and nanoscale physical phenomena.
Whether you're developing high-precision instrumentation or spinning out a university venture, I'd love to chat.
