VSParticle: Product Management & Business Development
Bridging engineering and commercial strategy for advanced nanoparticle generation and nanoprinting technologies (P1 & G1), expanding into the semiconductor sector.
Nanotechnology from Lab to Industry
VSParticle develops revolutionary tools that enable researchers and industrial manufacturers to produce and deposit nanoparticles on demand. By leveraging spark ablation, their platforms allow precise generation of inorganic nanoparticles and direct nanoprinting onto substrates, dramatically shortening the materials development cycle from months to hours.
Role 1: Product Manager (Jan 2025 – Dec 2025)
I joined VSParticle as the company’s first dedicated Product Manager with a dual focus: aligning technical development with customer needs and structuring the product lifecycle:
- Bridging Engineering & Sales: Acted as the connective tissue translating complex customer feedback from sales discussions into clear, prioritized technical requirements for the R&D team.
- Product Roadmaps for P1 & G1: Defined the strategic direction and release roadmaps for the flagship nano printer (P1) and nanoparticle generator (G1).
- Voice of Customer: Established feedback loops with academic and industrial research labs to understand usability bottlenecks, reliability expectations, and new application areas.
Role 2: Business Developer (November 2026 – June 2026)
After identifying emerging traction from key players in the semiconductor ecosystem, I transitioned into a dedicated Business Development role to lead exploration in this domain:
- Ecosystem Discovery: Cultivating relationships with semiconductor researchers, device engineers, and process development managers who require precise nanomaterial deposition.
- Value Proposition Design: Identifying the high-impact problems where VSParticle’s unique capabilities provide decisive advantages over conventional lithography or vacuum deposition techniques.
- Pipeline & Pre-development Revenue: Securing commercial pilot opportunities and proof-of-concept projects to validate demand and de-risk future product engineering cycles.
Navigating Deep-Tech Commercialization
Commercializing deep-tech hardware requires navigating distinct complexities:
- Customers are sophisticated technical experts who require rigorous scientific data and reproducibility before committing.
- Bridging the gap between academic exploration and industrial semiconductor manufacturing standards.
- Ensuring that customer promises match hardware development realities.
Strategic Takeaways & Looking Ahead
Working across both product management and commercial development at VSParticle reinforced my conviction that deep-tech success depends on tight synchronization between engineering feasibility, market timing, and customer trust.
