It started with custom code
Python for the Lab started as hobby project after I finished my PhD. I learned how to control complex experiments using Python, and some people was interested in hiring my to help them.
Automating experiments is a skill that few people take the time to cultivate, but once you know what is possible, new experiments become a reality. Many of the experiments I did in my PhD were possible because of automation, and I wanted to empower more and more people to break free of the constraints imposed by software.

Workshops and a Book
The interaction with customers and users of my code pushed my into systematizing the knowledge and best-practices I had been collecting.
On the one hand, that became a book that can be purchased online and in print. In turn, the book fueled the idea of organizing workshops that have been held in companies and universities in Europe.
