the tendency to forget information that can be found readily online by using Internet search engines https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_effect

It seems that we forget the things we know can be retrieved. It could also be associated with the value we assign to things. I wonder the effect that note taking would have in shaping the retrieval and storage strength. Could it be that we are manipulating ourselves into oblivion?
